100 Shows and Counting

If you've seen a ghost, don't know who to call, and missed our show on October 19th at Shea Riley's, you should really go here.

Also, we've got a few new shows to talk about. On Thursday, November 8th, we will be making history at Knickerbockers. That show will mark the 100 show that the band has played over the past 7 years. So please come out and celebrate with us, as you only turn 100 once. The show starts at 9pm and we'll be headlining the show, probably going on around 11:30. But there will be some great bands opening up for us, so be sure to come out early and pick up some $0.25 tacos for a mere $0.25.

Plus, in honor of 100 shows from the band, you can now download our old songs that we never play anymore for free in the media and merch section. 5 songs from our first ever recording, "Leaving It Behind," have been made available, and all you have to do is right click (ctrl click on a Mac) on the songs and download them straight to your computer. Sure the quality of the recording isn't the greatest, but since this CD is out of print, this is probably the only way you'll ever here them if you don't already own the CD. If you already own the CD, then 1000 apologies for having just wasted your time when you could have been reading a paragraph about something more useful to you, like how to correctly give CPR or the proper temperature to cook duck.

Vote For Us For The Omaha Entertainment Awards

Hey everybody, just wanted to let you know that you can vote for your very own Ten O'Clock Scholars for the Omaha Entertainment Awards in the following categories:

Best Rock
Best Alternative/Indie
Best Emerging Artist
Best Local Show - Vago CD Release Party featuring Vago, Sleep Said The Monster, Ten O'Clock Scholars and Korey Anderson

This is a relatively new awards show that is put on in to support local art, theatre, and music, so if you can take the time to vote, we'd really appreciate it. It'd be pretty sweet just to get nominated on the final ballot, so don't hold back...tell your friends, your friends' friends, your grandmother's friends' friends...if they can operate a computer...and anyone else you can think of because you only get to vote once and online voting closes fairly soon.

And, fun fact, you don't have to live in Omaha to vote, you can live anywhere in the United States...and theoretically the world if you can get a language converter thingy.

We're at Shea Riley's this Friday with Vago and Indecision, so be sure to check out the show because there will be costumes galore...it's $5, 18+, but if you dress up you get a dollar off your cover. Show starts at 9pm.

If We Won The Battle...

...then someone let us know because we didn't stick around long enough to find out. You can find out why in the past section.

Big thanks to those people that did come out to see us on a Sunday afternoon...you rock!

Our next show is October 19th at Shea Riley's so mark your calander. And, in the meantime, we'll be heading into Grubb Recording Studios to work on so new songs. So check back for updates.
