Thank God For Fake Record Labels

So this past weekend the founders of our record label (Onken-Stein Productions...Mr. Chris "Seabass" Onken and, get this...me) put on a little sketch comedy show this past Saturday. The beauty of it is that we tried to pimp some TOCS merchandise on the unsuspecting crowd. It worked to some degree...we did sell one CD. But before the show started we played the entire CD...from start to finish...so people had to have liked that, I mean they must have, right?

In other news: Get excited, we embark on our WORLD TOUR on Friday! Boom Digity!

T-Day

We recently played a show with the Nadas at Knickerbockers, which, if you're reading this, you probably already knew.

Consequently, we also recently appeared on a game show. Check it.

Ten O'Clock Scholars Love JD

A big thanks to Julie Dean (not Jack Daniels), a very loyal fan of me, the drummer, for getting us a play on UNL's college radio station (insert the name of the radio station here). I'm not sure what song she played, or if anyone heard it, but it's cool nonetheless. And, The Nadas show was fun, in an odd way...then a fun way. Thanks to everyone who came out and represented for us. Knickerbockers freakin' owes us one. I'll explain more in the review which should be up...sometime.

The Nadas...Not Nothing

We're happy to announce that we'll be opening for The Nadas this Thursday (Nov. 17th) at Knickerbockers in Lincoln. The show starts at 9:00 and we hope to see you all there because those guys rock and this should be a really fun time. This is the first time they've played around these parts (we think) since the release of their new CD, Listen Through the Static, which means the house should be packed. Sorry for the short notice, but this show flew under the radar for about a month and was just recently brought to our attention. So, we'll plan on showing up and you do the same.

That would be great...

Yeah...

Time Change Not Caused By Daylight Savings

For inquiring minds, we just found out that our show at BVU on December 2nd will now be at 6:00 instead of the scheduled 6:30. Hope this doesn't complicate things for anyone planning on attending...like Connealy. (It's questionable as to whether or not Connealy actually remembers our shows...but Superfan can fill in on bass if need be...we know he's reliable, he sells merch!)

Home-made T-Shirts and The Darkness

That'll be what I write about when I recover from the emense lack of sleep that I got last night. Headlining a Wed. show in Lincoln is not something that we'll probably do every Wed., seeing as how we all had to work at or before 8:00 this morning. But we had a great time, and hopefully you did too. Big props to Connealy for bringing most of the crowd to the show, and for drinking lots of amber ale. That's all I can muster up right now.

(Wow, emense and muster in the post...maybe I'm not as tired as me thinks me be.)

Rock and Roll Tonight

We just found out that we'll be headlining the show tonight at Knickerbockers because Unit Like Stereo's van broke down and they won't be able to make it here. So, plan on hearing way more songs than we planned on playing tonight.

Also, we got some recent pub on StarCityScene.com (mostly just announcing the show...but we'll take it) and we were announced on Lincoln's 106.3 The Blaze as a local band having a show tonight at Knickerbockers. Sometimes it pays to be from two different cities.

What Would Superfan J Drink?

To find out, head to the past section. There, you'll find pictures of what he does during and after drinking. (That's much better than what it could have been.)
