Past Out

Check out "the past" section for the reviews from the last two shows.

Also, just got word of a possible show at Shea Riley's on the 16th or 17th...that's September for those of you playing at home.

Post Show Post

I'm posting the review of the Spotlight show on the 25th here so that we can post it where it needs to go later. For now, just enjoy being able to read it with one less click of the mouse-thingy that you currently have in your right hand (or your left for our south-paw fans).

This was the show for new material, as we filled most of our set with...wait for it...new material. Only four tracks from the CD found there way onto the set (Run Away, Drive, Indy and TMB). We also debuted two new songs at this show (Erin's Song and Smile), which were received very well by the large number of fans that we had there, as well as fans of Vago and Civicminded (who we played with). Technically, Erin's Song was debuted back in May, but that was just a rough sketch of what the song looks like now. Lots of very positive feedback about Smile from the people, so that's cool.

We ended the show by busting through three strong songs, and were actually asked to play one more song by Marq Manner (who does the booking for the Spotlight) because the crowd was definitely into us. Much like we used to be into Gap, back in 1999.

I got 5 on it

The Spotlight Club rocked on Thursday. Big thanks to everyone who came out, especially those who hadn't seen us in awhile. We'll get some more info. up on the show probably after we debut the new website on Sunday, so keep checking back whenever you get a free moment. We'd love to hear what you guys thought of the show.

And, in case you didn't notice in the shows section, we're back at the Spotlight on Saturday, September 10th, with Ten Cent Redemption and Lovetap. This is going to be one best shows that money can buy, when that money is only a five dollar bill. Headlining the show is Lovetap, who is one of the biggest draws in Omaha these days. Also, coming in from Colorado for the first time is Ten Cent Redemption (featuring two former members of Carolyn's Mother, which was consequently one of our favorite bands).

You all need to mark this date on your forehead with a permanent marker so that no one you see will let you forget what you're doing on Sept. 10th...getting drunk with the 10 O'Clock Scholars.

Well, it almost works.

I'm posting this at 12:36am on a Saturday just to say that the new TOS website (or at least the NEWS page of said site) is DONE! The bad news is that after all of this slaving, I'm not entirely sure that this is even viewable on Internet Explorer... which kind of sucks.

Developing.

Tonight, at the Spotlight!

A conversation between two band members held yesterday at practice...in B flat:

Member #1: So I'll see you at the Spotlight tomorrow.

Connealy: Is there a show there tomorrow?

Member #1: Yeah...we're playing there.

Connealy: Oh that rocks!

This has been brought to you by Weak Attempt At Humor Productions; in association with Time Warner.

Reel Big Fish

Abby P., I can't believe that you just sold out my love to the entire world in your Top 5, via the information SUPER-highway. I'm just not sure what to do with myself now. It looks like Julie's the frontrunner for my love now because she didn't just "pretend" to like me. I'm going to work to cry now...I hope you're happy.

And I don't even think you check out my band's website as religiously as I check yours. I thought you were a true fan.

Anytown, USA

Thanks to everyone who came out for our "Show Ceresco How To Party"...show. We had a blast and hopefully you learned that we can, indeed, go country if the pay is good enough...but we will bust out a rap to "keep it real." More info. on the show will be up in the coming days...theoretically.

Save Us!...By the beard of Zeus, Save Us!

So this may have been the setlist from the show yesterday. We're not to sure because we blacked out due to exhaustion after the first 20 songs we played. Plus, I'm at work, and really just need a way to transfer this to my home computer without the use of e-mail. So...enjoy.

Look Up Rock Out

Today is definitely the calm before the storm for our show tomorrow...because it's actually supposed to rain on our parade (bet ya didn't know we were scheduled to have a parade tomorrow too) tomorrow at Lonnie's party. But that's, OK...we ready rain or shine.

Practice yesterday brought together some new songs for the show. "Smile" is pretty much finished now, and may be a future show closer because it rocks the boat. And, some of you TOS purists (such as Fatboy Kuhl), may remember an old song called "Look Up Look Out," which was a song we don't usually play, has now been reworked and is pretty much a shell of its former self. Same notes, different vibe.

Hope to see everyone tomorrow for the killer show. The map to get there is just a few posts below.

We Talkin' Bout Practice?!

We're practicing tonight. That's right, I said it...PRACTICING. What?! You got something to say?

...oh, that's a valid arguement...

The Internet Has Space?

We're now on MySpace.com, so please come be our friend, or buy our CD, or use the lyrics to All We Do Is Lounge in a poetry slam contest at a coffee shop and pass them off as your own, or watch us come sue your sorry...

Where its at!

Here's a map to the party on the 19th. We hope to see everyone there...as opposed to only hearing you.

(Wow that was bad...I should never use the internet again...or words, for that matter...)
